20 Best Books to Learn Math Recommended by a Math Teacher 

As a teacher with years of experience in mathematics education, I’ve encountered countless helpful resources that support various levels of math learners.

You may be surprised to see a math YouTube content creator offering math textbook recommendations. After all, aren’t textbooks sort of a dated way of learning math!?

While online resources are incredibly helpful, I firmly believe that a math textbook remains one of the best ways to learn math!

I still recommend physical books for many different reasons. They remain a value resource because of their depth, structured learning approach, and the abundance of worked examples and practice problems they offer. 

My goal with this guide is to provide you with a list of 20 recommendations for the best math books I have encountered throughout my teaching career.

I have organized these book recommendations by level and interest, based on my own experience helping students navigate the world of mathematics.
